Mayssia Elajami — Founder, CEO and Principal Litigation Lawyer, ME Law

Mayssia Elajami founded ME Law Professional Corporation, a litigation-only firm, to focus on complex, high-stakes disputes for boards, executives, companies, lenders, investors and private principals around the world.

In international matters, Mayssia acts as counsel and advocate in commercial and investment-treaty disputes under the ICC, LCIA, SIAC, HKIAC, ICDR and UNCITRAL rules. She advises on the drafting and enforceability of arbitration agreements, the strategic choice of seat and tribunal, emergency and interim relief, and the recognition and enforcement of foreign arbitral awards and judgments against assets across borders.

Her court practice includes commercial court litigation, contract, shareholder and fraud disputes, urgent injunctions and asset preservation — Mareva, Anton Piller and Norwich orders among them — and cross-border proceedings. She also acts in real estate and estate litigation, financial markets disputes and complex insolvency proceedings.

She appears in court, in arbitrations and before regulatory tribunals, and works with local counsel wherever a matter must be heard in a jurisdiction in which she is not licensed. Every mandate she accepts is led by her personally, from the first assessment of the dispute to the final order or award and its enforcement.
